This design was developed in response to the curator’s need for a flexible exhibition system. The Pavilion brings together 40 years of diverse works by 16 artists, each with distinct practices and approaches. The challenge was to create a display system that allowed for reconfiguration—enabling the curator to adjust alignments and foster dynamic dialogues between the artworks.
To meet this need, a floating floor was constructed, providing a versatile base for securing vertical modules and podiums. In addition, a custom frame-mounting system was designed: a horizontal slot mechanism that allows frames to slide laterally along the walls. This ensures that the arrangement of works can be easily adapted, supporting a curatorial process that evolves over time.
