Rome, 2017
Client: Private

The project focuses on the recovery and revitalization of several individual buildings located in a peripheral area of Rome. The central idea is not only to restore and repurpose these structures, but also to weave them into a cohesive system. This is achieved through the introduction of elevated walkways that connect the once-isolated buildings, transforming them into a network of interrelated spaces.
The existing facilities—which include a residential building, a former workshop, and a warehouse—are carefully redesigned to accommodate a wide range of functions that support and enrich film production. The program extends beyond technical requirements, envisioning a vibrant ecosystem of complementary activities. Within this renewed framework, the design incorporates theaters and performance spaces, dressing rooms and residences for artists, as well as a restaurant and an event venue to encourage social exchange. In addition, offices and a series of classrooms provide room for administration, training, and research, ensuring that the complex functions as both a production hub and a cultural campus.
Ultimately, the project seeks to create a dynamic environment where creativity, community, and production converge, breathing new life into underutilized architecture while strengthening the cultural fabric of the surrounding area.
