Radure

Radure, Festival dei Monti Lepini, 2026

Curator: Gemma Marigliani

Organization: Compagnia dei Lepini

Conceived as a distributed festival, Radure brings together six historic towns in the Lepini Mountains. Each town hosts two performances staged in venues not traditionally associated with theatre, yet distinguished by their remarkable historical and archaeological significance.

The project was approached with the primary aim of creating a cohesive visual identity capable of unifying the festival’s diverse events and venues, while preserving the distinctive character of each town and the individual identity of every performance.

The project therefore began with a reinterpretation of the word “Radure”, which in Italian refers to an open space enclosed within a wooded landscape. This concept was expressed through the stylized and metaphorical introduction of the circle: six circles, one for each participating town, integrated into the wordmark “Radure.” The same circular elements were then reused throughout the printed posters.

Finally, the civic coats of arms of each individual town were graphically reinterpreted. Simplified and rendered as wireframe drawings, they became an additional visual element capable of conveying the duality between community and individual identity.
