The design of the Pavilion is shaped by two key constraints: the existing architectural structure—which divides the exhibition space into three aisles—and the placement and dimensions of the selected artworks.
The Pavilion consists of a raised platform, conceived to host a two-dimensional artwork along with a series of stand-alone display supports, and an elongated volume stretching the full length of the side nave. This volume incorporates several essential functions: an exhibition wall, a darkroom, two storage areas, a reception space, alcoves for individual artworks, a staircase, and a mezzanine concealed in the upper section. The mezzanine allows visitors to view certain artworks from an elevated vantage point, enriching the spatial and visual experience.
